fun 2-minute personality test
Goal
I built this personality test as a viral way to warm up traffic for the app. People took the same test as in the app and got a code to skip most of the onboarding.
How it works
Curiosity gap
A strong first impression with no extra info and as little friction as possible.
The questions
A simple screen with 5 answer options, the same visuals throughout and a progress bar, so it feels quick and people finish.
The final screen
Another wow moment, built with timing. The result card appears after a sequence of animations on the card, the text and the left panel.
Results
Learned
It was a massive experience for me to make something go viral. I designed everything, from the cards to the names and descriptions.
Then I tested it in real life with my friends to see their honest reactions to the card, where they clicked and so on.
Based on that, I cut the questions from 20 to 10 and changed the layout on mobile.
